CORRUPTION - PLAGUING THE INDIAN SOCIETY

CORRUPTION - PLAGUING THE INDIAN SOCIETY Home Blogging CORRUPTION PLAGUING THE INDIAN SOCIETYBloggingcareerCORRUPTION PLAGUING THE INDIAN SOCIETYBy Pranjal Mehta - December 8, 201630000Facebook Tumblr Mix VK LINE Viber “There is enough for the need, but not for the greed.”  â€"Mahatma GandhiThere are two things in the Indian history â€" one is the incredible optimism and potential of the place, and the other is the betrayal of that potential through corruption. These two strands intertwine through the whole of Indian history.Corruption is the greatest bane of our society today and a hot issue that is coming up nowadays in many ways like bribery, extortion and smuggling. It is something that is easy to spread but difficult to stop. In almost each and every sector of the society, corruption exists and people have to face it everywhere they go â€" from police stations to higher government bodies; from elementary schools to widespread colleges and universities, corruption prevails in some or the other form. I’m sure you most of you would have had to tackle this issue at some or the other point in your lives. But what causes this situation to arise? The people responsible for this are mostly the lethargic ones who are always in search for a shortcut to success. The cut-throat competition present in the society also compels them to take up unscrupulous means to compete with their competitors. The weak implementation of laws only makes the situation worse, as they are not able to bind such people thus driving away their fear. The corrupt are often in collusion with the police and government agents. They are caught while taking bribes and they bribe to go scot-free.All of this has an ill effect on our country as people lose faith in the government. A large amount of black money is generated but there is nothing left to be used for the welfare of the people. The country’s economy is shattered due to non-judicious use of the government funds and development is also hampered. We have seen over time tha t countries that have the best economic growth are those that have good governance, and good governance comes from freedom of communication which in turn comes from ending corruption. It was rightly said by Kurt Cobain “The duty of the youth is to fight corruption.” Hence, some action should be taken not only by the government but also by the common man to eradicate corruption from India.TAGScorruptiongovernmentmoney

Action Words In Your Resume

Action Words In Your ResumeAction words are a small section at the end of your resume. They help you get the attention of recruiters so they can see that you have done your homework on your target job. It is important to remember that these words should be carefully chosen and followed throughout your resume. You might want to write your action words according to the individual's job history. If you are applying for a job as a receptionist, you would want to include these words like: quick-witted, hardworking, organized, motivated, outgoing, attentive, punctual, and ready to go. If you were working in an office, you might choose words like: efficient, responsible, high energy, team player, enthusiastic, proactive, motivated, creative, and friendly. It all depends on what the company requires of you. There are some specific rules that govern when you can use these action words. For example, if you were on an executive committee, you would not want to use these words, as they might seem to show that you are not serious about your career. On the other hand, if you have done well in an interview, it would be appropriate to use these words. You do not have to put every action word on your resume. You just have to place them where they are most likely to be needed. This is why your action words should be used sparingly. Since recruiters can skim your resume, they may not have enough time to read it all, so you do not want to overwhelm them with your words. When choosing action words, consider your role in the company. If you are promoted, you may want to use these words. If you are working closely with your boss, you might consider using these words instead. The more closely you are tied to your position, the more appropriate these words will be.However, you do not want to restrict yourself to just one or two action words. Just as you do in the rest of your resume, you need to make sure that your action words are powerful and that they stand out from the rest of your res ume. Avoid using broad terms. They do not have to describe your entire job history, but they should be telling, and you should know how to use them. If they are difficult for the recruiters to understand, then you need to be ready to explain them in your action words section.Of course, your action words should come from the perspective of the company that you are applying for. If your job is highly detailed, you can tell your story in action words. If you have only worked in the sales department of a company, you can use these words to emphasize that point. If you were given a great review, you can say this on your resume. Your employer wants to learn how you can contribute to the company.Action words do not need to be long and complicated, but they should convey what your employers need to know about you. If you use these words, they will be more likely to take notice of you.

QA With Penelope. About work. Or something approximating that.

QA With Penelope. About work. Or something approximating that. On a good day I would tell you that I have my own startup and a successful blog and I work from home. On a bad day I would tell you that I homeschool and every minute Im not refereeing brotherly fights, I am cleaning up from one meal or cooking the next. On a bad day youd ask me when I work and Id snap  back at you, because on bad days Im snappy, and Id say that I work in between everything else. I usually dont do written interviews, but this time it was for the  Wisconsin Humanities Council, and I dont want people where I live to hate me, so I did the written interview for their Humanities Booyah  blog. Heres my interview: Describe your first job and what you remember most about it. I served ice cream at Baskin Robbins. Peanut butter and chocolate is too hard to scoop because the peanut butter gets too hard. Daiquiri Ice doesnt freeze and customers complain that its melty. Mint chip has too many chunks and malts take too long to make. I quit, but right before I quit I gave away free cones for a whole shift. It made the customers so happy. I realized then that I wanted to do work that made people happy. Tell us about a moment that influenced your work history. I was unemployed and I didnt have rent money. I had been telling myself if I ever ran out of money it would be okay because I could be a nude model. So finally the time came and I knocked on the photographers door, and he answers and right away he said, Nah. Youre too uptight. I dont know how he knew it, but he was right. And then I started really thinking about how to make money reliably. What do you do on a regular day? Scream at my kids that I need alone time. Then not get any. Then scream at my husband that I never get alone time.  Or I take anxiety medicine. Im just going to say that I would not need to have anxiety medicine if I had total control of my day and no need to earn money or be a good mother. So I guess the truth is that on a regular day I am realizing that I am not cut out for adult life. What does the future of your work look like? No kids. Lots of time to read. And I write during breakfast every day instead of making it. When you think about making a living and making a life, what comes to mind? Suicide. Its fascinating to me that people dont kill themselves more often. Adult life is very difficult. Its amazing how strong we are to keep getting up every day and doing it. I have this anthology of suicide notes. Really. Its called Or Not to Be, by Mark Etkind. I read them and I cant believe how incredibly sad they are. Because I read the notes and I think, no way, their life was not that bad, it was just one bad moment. And people loved them. And they loved people. And thats why they shouldnt have killed themselves. I think of all this. And then I think that my life is not actually about making a living and making a life. Its just about loving people. Okay. Should I delete that? I dont know. I just checked the pasta and I have about five more minutes to write. So Ill give you a more socially acceptable answer: I am not sure what it means to make a living and make a life. Humans are programmed to want 20% more money than we have. Really. A ton of research says that no matter how much money we have we think if we had 20% more wed be fine. Then we get that 20% and it starts again. It makes sense to me. Think about it: if the person in the cave looked at their pile of berries and said, Ok. Thats enough then that cave person would have died. So we evolved from people who never thought  they had enough berries. So  we are always fighting against the idea that we need to get more more more. Making a living will just have to be the same as our life. Oh gosh. I just wrote another depressive answer. You could just put the suicide note book right here. It fits. I guess I want to say that I dont know how make a living and make a life separately. I dont know what works. I know that my sons cello lessons are really expensive and if he goes to music school he needs a $30,000 cello. Thats all I can think about tonight. That and the pasta and the book.

Online or Offline When and Where It Makes Sense to Shop

Online or Offline When and Where It Makes Sense to Shop The following is a guest post by Ayah Granada.  Her bio follows. Open 24 hours 7 days a week, no long lines to wait in, not worrying about handling any tantrums from kids, and hitting up more than 10 stores in less than an hour. What’s not to love about online shopping ? So, does what we buy and HOW we buy something really matter? Online Shopping Reality Check First of all, here’s an overview of the few ludicrous things we’ve all done for the love of online shopping: We’ve overspent on a transaction just to avail of “Free Shipping”. If it can be bought in store within a few minutes or hours from your location, just go get it already. The cost (of gas) it took to drive there may be equivalent, or even be a lot cheaper, than the extra money you spent ordering unnecessary items. We’ve shopped using public Wi-Fi or slow connection. Keep in mind that no matter how “limited edition” the item you long for is, your slow internet can’t guarantee a successful purchase. You might as well give up on your orders before you go crazy over the instability. Plus, steering clear of credit card scams is a lot harder to do over unstable connections. We’ve all been confused about return policies and victimized by wrong orders. Honest mistakes are normal, and sometimes companies do their best to compensate for their slip-ups. Most of the time, however, we’re fooled by what we see online versus how the product actually looks and feels once we receive it. But There ARE Positives The pleasure of being able to choose among various stores at once is only one of online shopping’s many benefits. The internet makes it so easy for us to find  items we’d otherwise have trouble hunting down in stores. When it first became accessible to netizens, it seemed like a service that was too good to be true. It has become such a convenient service to the point where it was considered ALMOST faultless. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, consumers prefer buying items like drugs and health aid (91.2%), computer hardware and software (51.9%) and other miscellaneous items (56.8%) in stores.   As convenient as online shopping is, there are still some aspects that prove purchasing items online still doesn’t compare to actual shopping in stores. Reasons Why Shopping In Store Is More Beneficial: You can examine the quality of the items up close. No longer do you have to imagine what a certain item’s texture or material feels like. You’ll immediately be able to tell if your item is worth your money. There’s no longer any need to buy an item from multiple stores in various qualities “just to be safe”. Shopping in store can be turned into a social event. Don’t deny the fact that the mall was one of your top meet up spots during your tween years. Nothing said “girl time” more than afterschool dates walking around, with shopping bags in one hand and drinks on the other. Give customer service front liners something to do as well; appreciate the in-store displays they took the time to setup and the assistance they provide. Oh, and sitting on your couch clicking on one item after another burns zero calories. Convinced to Falling in love at first sight with an item. In retail stores, products are limited in number, forcing you to choose among what is displayed, or what they have in stock. It’s a lot easier to control your spending when you have no choice but to accept the fact that it’s no longer in stock. Do I REALLY need it? You think to yourself. On the other hand, if you score the last item you coveted and it fits you perfectly, it partly feels like winning the lottery. Save on shipping fees. Returns are easier done in person and in store. All you really need to bring back to the store with you is your receipt and your item that either has a defect or was simply bought in the wrong size. If bought online, you’d have to wait twice as long for your item to reach them and for it to be sent back to you all over again. ~With a recent trend of e-commerce companies and sites putting up brick and mortar stores, shopping in store hasn’t gone passé â€"yet. This is all happening despite the news of various companies closing some of their branches for good due to bankruptcy. Leaving a store carrying exactly what you came for and need is priceless, despite the money, effort and time you had to sacrifice. About Ayah Ayah is a content writer and editor for Scoopfed.com. Writing a Data Science Resume

Writing a Data Science ResumeThe data science resume is the first step to ensure that a potential data scientist will get hired by the company. It contains details of the person's education, experience and even the awards that he/she have received from these institutions.Data can be categorized as critical and non-critical. If the data science resume includes the degree that has been awarded by the school, then it is known as the critical one. This is because it will boost the application in most of the organizations for data analysts and data scientists. When writing a data science resume, people should take care to know the difference between the two. Critical data science degrees are awarded by the most renowned institutions and the places where they have graduated from. These are also the ones that will most likely be included in the data science resume. On the other hand, if it includes the degree that has been awarded by a school that is not as prestigious or recognized, then it is categorized as non-critical one. This is because it is not so important to mention it in the resume. Some companies will allow students to have an option of submitting their data science resumes with only one form; one for critical and one for non-critical. It is recommended that people do submit the same form to both companies to avoid confusion. In order to write a data science resume, it is recommended that people should know how to format it properly. They should make sure that all the information is written clearly. For example, when dealing with experience, the name of the organization should be on the left-hand side and the student's name should be on the right-hand side. Also, the dates should be put in which the student has been at the school or college, what course he/she has taken and what is the target date when the data analysis is done. All these elements can be found in the course description, which is found along the side. Thus, a data science resume is the first thin g that a person should prepare when applying for the job. Aside from that, it is also the first thing that should be included in the job application that they have filled up.
